With the show looming and me going without sleep trying to get some projects finished I was just wondering who might be attending.

Hey there Mark,

Well you know I will be there!! LOL....actually there is a crew of about 12 coming down from Fredericton.

I think I finally have it through some people's heads,.....its just a show, what is in the past is in the past, they support our show, so why can't we show up in force and support their show.

So instead of only being 4 people down, which was the case of the last show 2 years ago, as of right now, there are 12 going(including kids).

Nothing final on what I am bringing, probably my ZSU-23, and the one I am working on for their theme, a 1/144 TU-22M Backfire B, probably bring along a few others as well.

Working on anything yourself???

Don't forget....out show is just a small 6 months away!!!!!! April 29th!!!!!

Hey Scott,

Should be a good time this year, I am glad to hear that you will be down. I am working on that trumpeter SAM that I bought off of you. Neat kit but it is really big/taking a long time to finish. I will be at your show as well, and I was dusting of the boxes for the theme build. See ya there.

Hey there Mark,

HAHA, sounds like a fun build, surprisingly enough, I don't have that kit myself....but it sounds interesting. I do still have the Mil-Mi4A Hound Helo though.....although this being almost 2 years later, it has slowly entered my own stash!!! LOL I just wish I had the display room to put it once it is built!!!!!(Along with umpteen others that would be too big once built)

Working on a couple of aircraft myself, the Backfire for MMM's theme, and a surprise aircraft, something no one would even think I would build....now to see if I can do the subject justice and get the camo pattern right!!!!

I think I may have to start on a semi-What If model.....seems rumors abound that the CF may be in the market for new tanks. Seems the Leopard 2A5 is very high, and very likely a purchase. Would love to see them rolling through Gagetown!!!!!

Still have no idea what I am going to build for our own theme here, I am toying with the idea of the new Dragon M2A1 Halftrack.....I can't think there would be much to converting it to an Israeli Halftrack used during the 6th Day War.....but then again, I don't know a whole lot about it!!! Maybe I can find a M-48, or something.

See you in Halifax!!
Scott

The good thing about these theme shows is that I can drag the stuff off the shelves that is doing long term shelf life testing and build it for the theme. I am planning on entering a Legends Cent conversion that I picked up as a prize at your show last year mated to a Tamiya Cent hull. Should be fun. And buy building it I can make room on the shelf for the AFV Cent I just got.

Hi, Mark

I'm trying to wrangle a way up to MMM. Hard time getting the time and $$$ at the same time.

Have a BMP 1 built and waiting for paint.

I may or may not be there, but if we do RV there, I will twist your arm to drink moderately. LOL

Cheers

Yeah one of the guys in the club just picked up one of the new Centurions....if I did pick one up, I don't think I would be building it as an Israeli version, as it would definatly have to go as a Canadian version, as I think we had the Mk.3, Mk.5 and Mk.11 versions of the Centurion I think. Rumor has it that AFV is going to come out with a Mk.11 version as well....but we will just have to wait and see.

I just read that they are going to come out with a M88A1G tank recovery vehicle, however people are speculating that its the Italeri version plopped in an AFV box....which would not be a good thing.

Yeah I have to agree, the themes get the kits that have been on the shelves for quite some time. I know I am building a 1/72 Mirage III for our theme, and I know I have had the kit for at least 20 years. Holy...can't believe I just said that....20 years!! I used to trade models with a guy in Moscow, and have had it along with about 6 others for about 20 years.....

Hey Ray,

Since I owe you beer how about this. I am going to be taking the ferry from PEI, I can pick you up at Port Hawkesbury if you need a lift. If I get on the 06:30 ferry I could be there around 09:30-10:00. I allready have a room booked at Juno Towers so you could rack out on the floor or I could grab a few cots from the RQ and that would cover your costs there. Its up to you. Let me know.
