Andy: It's an old Tamiya Brummbar I built OOB.

Faust: Thanks for the tip! I haven't seen models of Brummbars with the track brackets but I'll add them soon.

Stug: The scratchbuilt jeepney is still running around my head begging to come out. Have to find a decent donor kit first.

Those were the three reactions I read before the topic got nuked.

Jeep, before your thread got nuked, I had replied that this looked pretty decent for the first German AFV, and some more weathering, then you are home free. I like to thank you for dedicate this big gunned tank to me.!!!! Oink Freak'n Oink!

Thank you very much Dave! This big-gunned tank was rushed through the weathering process because I promised I'd finish this over the weekend. I'll take it home after a while and add your suggestions to it

Let the pros do German armour.

John,

Hey, you have done a great job on the first German AFV! I am wondering if you will do the camo pattern?
By the way, I see your "Honey" behind the Brummbar as well.

Thanks Steve! I think I'll do the camo when I take this home for updates. I shot this pic on my work desk at the office and Honey has a place there

Jeepster is "Da Man" !!!

John, I had responded earlier on your Brummbar, and will take this opportunity to again compliment you on a fine armor model. Neat subject, good fit, nice looking tracks!. I was looking forward to seeing it, and appreciate the opportunity to see your pics and comment.

ps: I think Dave would have preferred it painted in OD--(you know he loves it!).

I have an Academy Mutt at home! Problem is it has the individually sprung suspension. All jeepneys have live axle suspensions because they are easier to assemble and maintain

Just saw this thread while updating my dossier :-D hehehe

Nice build! Even better than I could do. :-D

Re: jeepney, you could start out with the old, first generation jeeps. IIRC, my dad has pics of them around. It's merely a Willys jeep with an extended back, a roof, and lots of color. I was thinking of doing the same thing. :-)

Jeepney,
Nice job. Well built Brum. I especially like the transmission cover plates. Very nice.
May I offer one suggestion.. Where the skirt plates rub you may want to add a paint chip here and there.

Jeff, the DML Brummbar is very good, so good I have 2, Aber for it, now as soon as I can find a nice barrel, I am on it. I also have Cavalier's Zimmerit for it. Get it, you will like what's in the box.

Suggestions noted slodder! The transmission plates were outline with a pencil then the lead was spread out using my Mark I pencil eraser (aka finger). I thought it looked bad so the Brumm went back on the shelf. I took it down again to experiment with pastels and the dust toned the graphite color down. Hope I can replicate this on my next model

Iīd say your tank needs a dark wash in the decreased areas and around bolt heads. Thatīs why your Mk1 pencil smudger thingy doesnīt work. Anyway I like the giant fingerprint in the front hull !

Nice brown bear you have there :-) I like it.
Might I suggest a dark wash, particullary in the depressions then a drydrushing of a lighter color.. but not too much :-) Just to bring out the details.

Are you going to use a camo pattern?
Again, looks nice and tight. Looking good there
