would just like to say how much i admore my dad...why may you ask?

Well i have just moved into a new place, and he, ever so kindly, threw out my box full of brushes, paints, knives etc because he thought it was a box full of rubbish!!!

so now, before i can model again i must save all me pennies to buy the whole lot again!

The purpose of this post is, i wondered if anyone else has had a similar experiance, or is the bad luck just mine this time!?

Sorry for that. He should ask first........and then throw them out.
Because I dont think he could understand what you are doing(modelling).
I cant explain to my father too. For him they are just toys.....

Ouch - no not that bad. I have had a few misshaps with my pets though. A few parts missing, a diorama knocked off a shelf from 7 feet up... done ...
Nope - the human side has been good to me.

Never happened to me mate..... I know how you feel though, about having to buy new stuff again. THAT is what I'm doing right now, after just returning to the glory land of modeling.....
Taking ages to collect everything again, not to mention expensive....siiiigh!

I always made sure to label everything clearly when I was storing or moving my model stuff.

My biggest problem has been myself more then anything! :-)

When your father reaches his second childhood, like I have, you can throw out his tools. (That's not to be confused with the male mid-life identity crisis which will really have you scratching your head!) :-) :-)

Another good idea, lets hope he gets his second childhood soon, and as for the mid-life crisis...is that where he starts wearing tight jeans, horrible shirts and buys fast cars? :-) :-) :-)

(no offense is ment to anyone who actually wears tight jeans, horrible shirts and drives fast cars and is not currently having a mid life crisis!!)

I'm way pass my mid life identity crisis, but I still wear horrible shirts, but they are not flamingos.... :-) :-) :-) My truck is so slow, I could pass it walking with my cane. :-) :-) My tight jeans became hood jeans when I lost 25 pounds, I'm too cheap to buy new! :-) :-)

I can't wait to see you looking all "Gangster"

My boys may wear their jeans baggy but if they droop down I'll staple them back up.

My Wife of 23 years respects my hobby. My Mom got mad once and smashed my scale fleet with a pillow looked like Bikini Atoll after the bomb test. She also had a bad habit of knocking the landing gear off my planes. I had a lot of in flight kits.
