Hello everyone,

It's been a while I've been using 35mm film cans for acrylic paints mixing and thinning.

Airtightness of these little things is unbelievable. I can keep a few drop of thinned paint for days, without seeing it drying.

I chose Fujifilm cans, as they are translucent, which is handy to see what's in the can. The beauty of this tip is that it's free: I asked people from a local photo shop to keep empty cans for me. After a few days, they were kind enough to give me a plastic bag full of cans!

Keep modelling!

Cheers,

Laurent

Yep,

Great tip if you don't have extra bottles laying around of if it's a color that might only be used one time..... I know I've Used them a few times myself!!

Edit: Come to think about it... i use the lids to keep Superglue handy.... and mix putty (thinning it with some Tamiya xtra thin cement)

Nice - what about digital film holders :-)
Seriously these are fantastic little tools to keep around.

Ach Scott, yer a life saver! I have about 600 pics on my DSLR camera now and I just can't figure out how to get the spool out. Is the "digital film holder" the tool for the job?
