Great new pictures Roger.
The last duce and a half I did, I thinned down the kit part about 1/4 of it's molded thickness, and hollowed the louvres. Mind numbing would be a good description. I only did it because the hood/bonnet was to be open, and the kit part was way overly too thick, and obviously blank on the inside.
Normally on a closed bonnet, I just use the blade tip to underscore the louvers a bit to accept a decent wash. Really need to go slowly, and carefully, as one slip of the blade, and it's good bye part.
I like the jig idea, didn't do that, will give it a try next time.
