HI

https://armorama.kitmaker.net/events/view_entry.php?id=403&date=20061028

Is this show still on? No listing on the IPMS TO site.

I have a lot of kits and books to dispose of ...

The Ajax show is "always" on. :-)

There has been nothing on the grapevine that would indicate that the show is not being held, so I'd assume it is a "Go!".

I also have a pile of stuff to move, so I better call Bernie to book a couple of tables...

Note that the show is on SATURDAY this year!
Every other year it has been on Sunday, so don't be caught out.

HI

The BComd has decided to exercise his right to the freedom of the city on what date you may ask .... 28 Oct 06 ..

So you now have the option of going to show or coming to K'ton and watching several thousand ... umm lots and lots of guys in uniform .... where I will be just some guy in uniform rather than that guy with the awesome selection and great prices ... hmm maybe I will beg for leave ...

I have never been to this show before but I think I am going to make the trip down from Barrie this year.

Will have to head upstairs and see what my social convenor (my wife) has penciled in that weekend on the calendar.

Thanks for the heads up!

Hi guys. I'm new to this forum and to military modeling(started about 6 months ago)(before that I did cars for about 20 years), I was reading about the Ajax show and I was wondering if it was a good one. I live about 30 kms. east of London and I was hoping it was worth the drive. I haven't been building armour long enough to enter anything but I'd like to know if there's a lot of entries and how the vender turn out is.

Yes, it is pretty good. There are usually about 300 models on the tables, about 20+ vendors tables (I'll have two), most of whom are individuals, not stores, so you get a great selection of the new and the old. You never know what is going to show up.

A bonus it that the school is a collegiate and the culinary department use the show as an excercise, putting on a buffet for $9 that is pretty darned good, not great, but pretty darned good.

Occasionally, the judging or administration of the contest is the subject of some scorn, but long time attendees understand it and if you have nothing to enter, it won't matter to you anyway. :-)

See you at the show.

Thanks Paul. I'll definitely be there. I also just read that they're sending someone from Finescale Modeler to take some pics of the show, must be a dandy.
