Greetings all,

Just wenty on line to buy some Humbrol Paint as my Local Craft Shop has closed down.

Found a place called The Model Catalogue fine, had the paint, fine then went to the check out, now get this:

Paint 3 x 14ml £2.86p - OK No problemo (.95p ea OK)

VAT £0.99p - OK No problemo

Shipping £1.27p - WHAT!!! - maybe just.

Handling Charge £1.50p WHAT!!!!

Total cost £6.61p for 3 small pots of paint.

Well I didn't buy them, so does anyone know a UK Moldel Shop that stocks and supplies Humbrol Paint at a realistic price.

Cheers

Al

Al,

Better get a move on

I'm off to the LHS tomorrow
try F & F models, Hannants or anybody else via mail order

(I assume that you've seen the airfix threads, not a good day)
Cheers

Hi Al

£1.27 is what the Royal Mail now charges for a package over 100g

What colours you looking for?

Hi folks,

Craig, just read the post, sad news indeed.

David, I was after 2 x Matt Brick Red No 70 which is very close to red oxide for metal primer. (boat hulls and tracks)

Tried the Arts Shop, Wollies, and a War Gaming Place but they don't stock them, nor do Hannants, or any of my other usual suppliers.

Beatties no longer exists and Milton Keynes is a fair journey away for 2 pots of paint LOL, LOL.

If they are in liquidation they I might need to buy a few more LOL, LOL.

Cheers

Al

Hi Al

The model shop across the road from my office has a full range of Humbrol, if you remind me of your address I'll put it in the post tomorrow. Is it only the Matt 70 you're after

All the best
