Sorry I haven't been on the site for so long, I've been busy (and the modelling desk is taken by you know who).
This is my Corsair for the Suez campaign. It will be built OOB.
My Dad is going to help me with the seams, they look worse in the photo than they do in real life.
The next part is to attach the wings, engine and the cowling.
I should be building a lot more now because it's starting to get colder and the football season has started :-) .

Hi Courtney, you have been missed, but it's good to see you back and with one of my favourite aircraft, I was watching one of theses perform at an air show a few weeks ago, awsome. I still smile when I think about it

What scale and what kit is this? Looking good, I know what you mean about seems in pictures. Is it going to be a French Navy machine, with yellow stripes? That would look cool

Hi Mal, the kit is Hasegawa and it is a 1/48. Yeah, I'm going to have yellow and black stripes, the main colour will be blue :-) .

I'll join that campaign. I always worry about being the youngest modeller about at 24. We need to get more youngster in. So Andy move over :-)

Seriously though Andy it is great that you are obviously providing inspiration to Courtney and she is picking up the glue and brush. Thinking it is a at the next show.

hi courtney! i'm still catching up with things after a week away. your corsair is looking nice already, and i've got to ask, how did you do the dashboard instruments? thats something on a kit i usually find the fiddliest.

I have done a bit more and the next part is to primer and then spray it a nice dark blue colour.

those dashboard decals can save quite a bit of work and still look the business.

Hi everyone,
These are the finishing pics of my Corsair. My Dad helped me with some parts because it was a bit complicated. He said to go for the easier ones next time until I have more experience.

Hi Phil,
Thank you, I'm very proud of it.
The stripes are decals, they were pretty easy to line up.
I would tackle a mottle scheme, but I'm not that good with an airbrush yet . My Dad's getting a new airbrush for xmas, and hopefully I'll find this one easier to use (if he lets me play with it :-) ).
