Hi guys my model club (Medway Modelling Club) will be having their annual model show at the Royal Engineers Museum in Gillingham Kent on the weekend of September 2-3 2006. There will be a number of clubs from the UK, plus a demo of R/C tanks, and also a Bailey Bridge display. If you are in the area drop in, you may be pleasently surprised!

I have been there the last 2 years with Farnborough but it doesn't look like I will be there this year unfortunately.
It is a good show and being an ex sapper myself it was great to look at the corps history. Funny thing being that I lived in Brompton Barracks for a year and never went to the museum in all that time, yet now don't mind travelling around the M25 for a day out!!

Hi Neil, yes there will a lot of aircraft. The majority of modellers in our club model aircraft. The opening times are 10:00-16:00 both days (not 10:00-17:30) as previously stated!

Hi Darren,

I've been absent from the site for a while so have missed this post before now. However I thought I would just say hi as I will be at the Medway show with my IPMS branch 'South East London' on both days, I believe we are in the main hall so anyone attending also pay me a visit if you have the time.

From past shows this is a very good show with displays/traders hidden in all sorts of places. So you need to search in every corner!
