I followed Sticky's instruction and build my own photo booth... The total cost me about $70USD

3 X 120 watt energy saving bright light bulbs = $26 USD
3 X clip style lamps = $ 35 USD
4 X foam cords = $ 4 USD
4 X texured papers 2 blue and 2 tan = $4 USD
Better photo, priceless.

Here's the set up. Please any comment are most welcome!! I would like improve my photo shooting as better as possible

Hey Ben
Your Photo booth looks great. I also love your Sdkfz 222.
I think you should be able to get a little more sharpness in your photo's. Are you using a macro setting, a tripod and/or shooting aperature priority?

David, I have an old Sony Cyber-shot 2.1 mega pixels camera. I found out I can't get a macro lense for it. I also have no tripod.

anyone else have the same camera as I do? What aperature should I set my camera on?

Check your manual and see if it has a macro setting. If so that will help with close focusing.

David, The manuel is long gone!

You can soften the shadows underneath with a simple reflector. Just glue some kitchen foil to a sheet of card and use it to reflect some light up underneath the model.

Derek, I'm not sure what you mean by reflector. Do you mean to use kitchen aluminum foil? If so, where do to stick the foil to? To the top of the white foam board?

Thanks,

Super job! Much improved pics. When you resize the images in your photo software look for the unsharp mask effect. Look what it can do:

Without the effect:

With the effect:

Thanks John, couldn't do it without your imformative thread.

I use photoshop to resize image. Now I'm not sure if you are familir with the software but do you mean use the blur tool under the tab of filter? If that' the case then you have solve my problem!

Its not a blur, but it should be on the same menu. Its called Unsharp Mask, fool around with its settings very interesting tool. Very helpfullwhen resizing JPG's as they loose sharpness when resized.

Benjamin

Normaly the camera has a icon of the Macro settings...is kind like a Tulip.

You should try to take the photos with more distance from the model. If you take your pictures near from the model you will get some parts os the model without clear focus because the camera arenīt able to focus all parts of the model.

Decrease 1 or 2 points in the AE mode.
