I'm Mike.

Like many, I've been away from the hobby for many moons and have finally returned. I've been absorbing information and building a tool kit and am looking forward to getting started. Up next on deck...an airbrush, compressor...and a lot of patience.

Welcome to the best site(s) on the internet for modeling.

The biggest thing to learn is to 'ask questions' and have fun.

You're in luck there was a compressor review just posted yesterday

Welcome aboard Mike. Do you have any kits in mind yet to get started with?

Actually, I picked up an Academy 1/48 F-15 D to just work on my basic skills. I had/have no real intentions of fully completing the craft, I just felt like I needed to work on seams, sanding and other skills. It's been a loooong time since I have worked with the paints and glues and knives. So far, all is going pretty well but I have to say that the intakes on the kit are truly terrible.

I figure that I will do several smaller kits, working on skills until I am comfortable then I really, really want to do the F-14 and F-16 in 1/32. I love what I have seen folks do with these.
