Does anybody have any techniques on how to make 1/32 logs? Tried using "real" tree branches but they look oversized compared next to 1/32 figures.

Thanks,

You could start off with some small thin twigs/ plastic straws and build them up with putty untill they are the size you want. A good putty is Das Pronto - a lot of people seem to use this! You can also show wood grain using this method too, just by using a wire brush or craft knife. Harry

Hi Hobbit7,

You may want to check out Markus Eckmann's article on sculpting a tree over in the Sculpting DG on Historicus Forma: Sculpting a tree

The SBS is not scale specific, and the techniques Markus discusses can be applied in various mediums and scales. BTW & FYI Markus hosts the Sculpting DG on HFM and is also a commercial figure sculptor

I see you mentioned 1/32 (54mm) figures... in that case you should definitely check out HFM
