A great exhibition has been held by Hongkong Naval Model Association (HKNMA) in Hongkong on last Saturday and Sunday (Aug 5-6, 2006). This may be the largest warship scale model show that had ever been held in Hongkong city (or to be the only one ever exists over there). The show demonstrated approximately 200 items of warship model in different scale, as well as the members' own collection of the naval souvenirs.

Some of the exhibits are full scratch built, such as the PLAN (P.R.China) frigates (hull nos. 567, 167 & 170), Spanish frigate F100, cruiser HMS Furious with the front flight deck, and also the 1:72 CVN-72 island with the flight deck base.

Besides that, two large sets of diorama have been presented in the show, one is the "Carrier Group FIVE" of US Navy, the other one is the "Destruction of British Task Force Z 1941". The first diorama demonstrated the carrier CV-63 USS Kity Hawk as the core object together with several escort frigates/destroyers encircling. The next one consists of more than twenty different warship models, to present the two fleets came from the British Task Force and the Imperial Japanese Navy that had contributed to the battle.
