One word, practice. Yun lang. Basically yung pinost ni steelskin na links is detailed enough. Don't limit yourself to one or to a recommended medium. Try testing out on your own.

Naknamputs Jedi council :-) :-) :-) :-) Cable, try to invest in different brushes. I myself had 00, 0, 2, 4, 6 sable brushes. Di gumagana dito yung "1 size fits all". Round brush are good for detailing, while flat brushes are good for large surface painting. Been using my brushes for 2 years na and they're sill kicking [auto-censored].

Drop the sir. Other than that, I use Sakura brushes.

cable,

in case, you haven't seen it, check out mo yung thread about painting figures sa painting and airbrushing section sa forums d2 sa armorama. "tutorial on painting flesh" yata ang subject. mas detalyado. sayang lang di niya tinapos...

I use acrylic and oil for painting figures. I also use the same types of brushes as mentioned by SR. There several links here in armorama about figure painting. Try looking at the features section particularly figures...and also here

Hope this helps

Nope primer is not necessary, but there are some advantages of using primer....a) You can immediately see the imperfections like seam lines before applying paint, b) It makes the paint bite more.

Nope, I build dragon figs but I don't use Mr. Color. I use mostly Tamiya Acrylic and Oil paint. I use Tamiya for the uniforms, etc, and oil for the skin, head and some parts of the uniform as well. When it comes to uniforms color, you still need to research, don't just rely on what is written on the box because sometimes they are wrong especially German uniforms --- there are lots of variations such as colllar color (SS, Waffen and other military units), shoulder board have different piping colors too... yellow, pink, red, white, etc.
