Hi folks

My name is Ross, and I'm 30 years old. I've been modelling on and off now for around twenty years. My interests vary from AFV's to Aircraft to Napoleonic things.

I'm married to Tanya with no rug rats on the way, I live in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England. My other interests are playing guitar/bass guitar and I am currently in a newly formed band, who are looking for a drummer and singer (the usual).

Talk soon

Welcome Ross,
You may have no rugrats but watch out for the carpet monsters they thrive on small parts lost in the deep pile.

Good morning Exer

Thank you for the note, I see you are a fellow Irishman!!
Well, my dad is from Dublin originally, and I follow Ireland with the Rugby.

The Carpet Monster, tell me about it
many is a time when a part has pinged off the sprue never to be seen again, (especially the case with Trumpeter kits I've found) then once you've produced the part from plasticard etc, painted the kit, stuck it on a base, put in on the shelf...what do you find? The part that pinged off grrr !!

Great to have you on board,Ross! We've got at least one drummer,(Hilbert)but I believe he is in the Netherlands. With 16k members, you could have a marching band in a week or so,eh?
Show us some pics of your stuff so we can see the monster bites.
cheers!

Hi AlanL thanks for the post, I hope to keep those pesky monsters in check.

Although I did read somewhere a while ago now, that someone when they model sits in an old bed sheet that is fixed to their desk, and if anything falls off it lands on the sheet and never gets lost !!
