I remember the frst time I saw a Turkey. It was at a small air show/road race in 1980 at Barnes ANG in Westfield MA. There was this huge, gangly looking thing, sitting much taller in the legs than an F-101 Voodoo.
The most impressive flight I saw was a few years later at an air show at Otis Air Force base on Cape Cod. The clouds were low and intermittantly raining. A cat took off and did some low manuevers then punched it. That badboy made a hole in the clouds!
The rumble of those big engines at near full throttle for a touch and go.....

here on long island where i live they had a big party for the tom cat.

they had 3 tom cats there
