Does any body know what the round things are in this set. There are also some round yellow things in it to, with numbers on - what are these? I've asked a few people at home but nobody seems to know! Any help would be great.

Hi Harry,
The round things are for vehicles. They were painted yellow and carried the vehicle weight specification hence the yellow things with numbers on. You see them on the bumpers of lorries and trucks, jeeps etc.
You also see them painted onto the front of tanks.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Al

As Al states, they are bridge classification marks. The ones for cargo carrying vehicles are dual numbered. The lower number is the weight classification of the empty vehicle, the higher number is the weight classification of a fully loaded vehicle.

The other round things are collapsible or folding canvas buckets.

They are bridge classification marks, but the dual nummber ones are for vehicles capable of towing a trailer. The lower number is the vehicles maximum weight, the second, higher number is the maximum weight of the towing vehicle and trailer combined.
