Looking good Ross. Interesting contrast between all the builds, but no Armour :-) .
I take it both aircraft will be NMF schemes.
What is the fit like on the Sea Hornet ? Is there resin parts in the kit as well ?
What markings will you be doing for the Mustang ?
Can't really comment on the figure, as i have never heard of it . Is that a OOB build or have you re-sculptured parts.

Of course I love the Sea hornet and Mustang, but I'm very interested in the figure as this is an area which I'd like to get back into. So details about the painting so far please.

The Hornet's fit of parts is good but as with most limited run kits it has no location pins so is a bit awkward to line it up but if you have got patience it is a great kit. The Mustang is going to be Nooky Booky IV, Kit Carson's mount. The figure is OOB by Shenandoah and is painted in oils over an acrylic undercoat.

that some nice builds you've got going on there ross, nmf aircraft are definitely this months topic :-) (i have maybe a couple in the pipeline myself!) one question though on the figure, what exactly is an ACW Zouave?

Ah, I thought that you were undercoating and painting in oils, that's how I used to do it but I used matt enamels as an undercoat, but I guess acrylics make more sense as the dry much quicker. Is the blue an undercoat or the main oil colour? I'm guessing that it's an undercoat as most figure painters paint the flesh areas first
I have Nooky Booky IV in my collection, but it is very old and I might be a bit embarrased to show it, it's based on the old Fugimi kit. I have just had a look at it, ouch I haven't even added the antenna, so it isn't actually finished. I will see about adding it and, maybe, I'll post some pics, I'll then be able to say that I have finished another

All looking good!
I bet your finding building a Tamiya and a Special Hobby kit alongside each other interesting to say the least. Are you going to spray some of the NMF panels in different shades? It really is worth the effort with the extra masking etc.Ive got my eye on the Tamiya Mustang too as I havent got a P51 in my stash.
