Congrats on completing your training. You will like Ft Stewart. Savannaah is fun too, especially if you like English/Irish Pubs. Be sure to check out Kevin Berry's Pub on the river. Have fun and make sure you study the "Dog-Faced Soldier" Song.

Wow, that's something, Ric. My co-author was in the 2nd BCT of the 3rd ID. He was w/ 1-64 Armor. He is still there, but as far as I know he is currently not in the 3rd ID itself, but in a training unit. He tells me he has requested to get back in w/ his old unit, so he might be back w/ them now; Sgt Eric Olson. I forget what grade he is nowadays.
I'll bet it's hot there now. I was there this time last year and it was brutal. My clothes were soaked through while I was in an Abrams for about an hour and a half.
Anyway, I think everybody here would be most appreciative if you could get some good photos of the extended bustle racks and jerry-can racks the 3rd ID brought back with them from OIF1. I know they brought them back as I saw photos of them in the motorpool, but I do not have permission to show them around. I would assume they have them in storage somewhere. I have seen them used in a subsequent rotation to the NTC in about 2004 or 2005.
Also, ANY photos of what the 7th CAV Abrams' look like nowadays, markings-wise, etc.
