Greetings all,
I'm looking for the Revell 1/35 UTD Boat. Would anyone have one in their stash that they would be willing to sell or trade?
I have looked on all the UK suppliers and cannot find it. I won't trade through e-bay so please don't suggest that route.
Is it available anywhere in the States???
Can anyone help??????
Cheers
Al

Get a part number if you can and I can try my source here. I inquired @ my fave not-so-local hobby shop friday and they had heard of it but had no idea of a part number to look it up by. Was that a standard revell kit or revell of germany? I got a DML #9049 Panzerspahwagon in the railway version there and a SMA resin kit{SMAV106} of a german field kitchen for only $10 US and an old Tamiya Flak36/37 88mm gun kit for $4US because some one took the ammo crates out of it and an old Italeri PzKpfw38t{#212} for $8US. I love that place! Worth the 40min drive.
If I could find my 1/35 Nitto M4 T-18 high speed tractor{ebay last week}...you should be able to find yours!

Hi Bob,
Here's some more info:
I believe the kit number is 5105 UDT (underwater demolition team) Boat w/figures 1/35 scale . It might also have originally been a Monogram Kit called "Frogmen and LCP (R) Boat' - that's about as much as I know.
I may still be available in the States but I haven't been able to track it down in the UK as it has probably been OOP for some time, like 12 years??
I've heard that it occasionally turns up on e-bay but I won't use them, I have my reasons.
Paul (nato308) and Skipper are keeping a look-out for me, another pair of eyes would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Al

AlanL,
Your right the kit number is 5105 and the only time I see these is when they surface on Ebay (I know your favorite place :-) ) The pictures of kits say it is 1/35 but I'm betting there more closer to 1/32 since many items of that time were rather large for 1/35th.
If you like send me a PM with the limit your willing to spend and I'll keep an eye out and if something comes up I'll let you know.
Sincerely,
Brian

From this Ebay auction you can at least get some photos of the product.
Monogram 1/35 Frogmen and LCP(R) Boat.

Hi Eric,
Thanks for that, first time I've actually seen the kit. Someone's keen with that bid, not for me that one, but thanks for posting the link.#
With a first bid of $39,99 given the state of the kit I'd say there was a fix in there.
Cheers

Al, my source says he has it, but he's on vacation for the rest of the week...says he'll get a hold of me when he gets home. Price wasn't mentioned as of yet, but he's usually very reasonable. If you have a price range you'd like to stick to...pm me.

Hi Bob,
Thnaks for that. The MIG one I can get through netmerchants ,so I'm OK there. As I write this I'm in communication with my soucre and will know very shortly if the deal can be done.
When you're looking for something it's a bit like waiting for a bus. You wait for ages, no busses come and then all at once, they all come together :-) :-) :-)
The same happened when I was loking for the Dragon M4A1, couldn't find one, then got one through kindness and directly after that they appeared on sale at Lucky Models again :-) :-) :-) :-)
Be in touch and good luck with your search.
Shipping is normally 5 - 8 days to state side depending upon what part of the states.
Cheers
