I was looking for information on the MG42 (I wanted to correct the top barrel sleeve on a Dragon 1:35 scale one - the cooling slots are missing) when I found this site MG42 enthusiasts .
Apologies if it's old news to Armorama, but it's a site full of excellent info on not just the MG42, but other weaponary as well.
Scroll down and there are additional sites on ancient seige equipment, ballistas and Roman and Italian armour, medievel crossbows etc.
