Hey Andy.

My compressor came from Harbor Freight. It was about 80 bucks. includes regulator and moisture trap. It is real quiet and only runs when necessary to maintain pressure.

Harbor Freight is great and has had a ton of good press.

if you are looking locally check out Target, Walmart or KMart - they all usually have a good solid compressor with a 2 -5 gallon tank usually under $100 and usualy on sale. I've got one and would buy another one.

Andy,

Find out which ones are good, then look on E-bay. I got mine for $60 including P&P. Nothing to lose.

My new one is a Paasche D3000, small tank, extremely quite, small apartment size, and affordable. Was $159.00 including shipping from DixieArt. You'll have to pick up your own regulator to add to it. Although it will not power your nail guns, impact wrenches, etc, but since I use it for it's intended purpose of supplying air for just my airbrushes, it serves its purpose well.
