Seb, first congrats to you. Second you will find time to come and visit sooner than you think, as well as getting some spare moments, if only to glue one piece together, for building.

My daughter was born 2 1/2 weeks ago. I have been on here probably every other day. The only reason I haven't done any modeling is because I have been working on things around the house such as painting and landscaping. Trust me, you get used to 4-6 hours of sleep a day.

Congratulations SEB!

But like some of the guys said, you will find the time to come back. Your gonna need your alone time wether its a minute or two to check up on things online or an hour or two to glue a couple of peices.

Trust me, I know how it is too. I have THREE STEP SONS (8, 4, and 1 1/2), my son who is in Georgia with his mom, and I have a new addition that will be here in October and it's a boy too. But I always manage to find a few minutes for myslef. Family does come first, but I'm pretty sure your significant other understands you will need some time to your self. She will want that to for herself so you can trade off. My girl understands completely especially with the SQUAD I have around.

Don't worry, you'll be back before too long. :-)

Congratulations.
Is it possible to have a young family and still be a modeller? I think the answer is yes. First to deflect ant criticism make sure you do your share (Or to be on the safe side -more than your share) of housework and looking after baby.
If you do break out the modelling gear, be scrupulously careful about tools such as knives snips etc, and about paints, solvents and glues. I do all my modelling on the kitchen table and my four year old daughter loves to "help"
So I have some old Tamiya figures I have no more use for and some bits and pieces of multipose figures that she puts together with white glue, in fact she's happy to fit helmets and hats on.
Recently we made one of the Tamiya T REX she cleaned the parts with a sanding stick and dry fitted them and I applied the glue. She then had free rein with the paint, hey nobody knows for definite that those things weren't pink. :-)
This is a great time for you and your wife (Nerve wracking and tiring too) enjoy it. I didn't feel the need to model when my daughter was young I was too busy looking at her in wonder. While I still think she and my wife are wonderful I occasionally need some time on my own.
“What’s that? Yes dear I’m going to do that right now”

A couple of months?

Ha ha he he ho ho.

Your very optimistic. Took me nearly 3 years since the birth of the last one and I still have to deny myself sleep to get anything done.

Seb nice move, I don't think the wife and I went out solo for a few years after my two were born.
Actually it turned me into a homebody and I got more done.
Congrats, and you have a beautiful wife and family, I hope you're half as good looking, l.o.l.
God bless you and yours - Cheyenne

Dear all
Thanks for all your kinds messages
i will see how i can get back to modeling, the most difficult is the lack of space in our flat.

cheers
