As the title says, I need advice on mounting models to bases. I have a wooded base covered with vinyl spackle mixed with dirt and ground cover. What is the best method for mounting my model, an M4 Sherman, to the base?
Thanks in advance.

I usually glue mine down with CA. If you are planning on moving it around a lot, to shows, etc, you may want to consider bolting it to the base.

I either glue mine to a base or if the kit needs more support i tend to drill and pin the model to the base i have done this for tanks, figures and aircraft.

The method you use will depend on the handling and movement of the project.
Low movement projects for me sometimes get as little as PVA.
High maint kits will get a hole and bolt treatment.
Medium deals get resin or a wire loop drilled up through the base and wrapped around an axle.
