hi..

Fujimi 1/72 kit..
the fitting for this kit is good..however there are seems lines in all of them...i clean those that i think will be clearly visible and become lazy to remove the rest of the seam lines..hehe
i leave the two pilot/RIO figures as well as the female crew...

just completed 1st stage of the painting...2 more layer will complete the process...
the faces also were just the base color painted...all were painted with tamiya, gunze and vallejo paints..

here some of the progress pic

to give ideas how small these crew are

that's for now

Thanks for posting this Boss. It should help kick start KakiModel.

The figs are decently detailed for 1/72 but its the variation and action poses that I really like. The proportions and fit are 10 times better than Tamiya's 1/48 figs.

My only complaint is why you left out the Female Crew. The Navy needs a few Good Men AND Good Women.

beachbum...thanks for the kind words...
sorry to dissappointed you with regards to the female crew..

at first, i think female crew is something that's so rare in the deck crew....the instruction suggested that the female crew to be painted in blue jersey which is usually worn by either Plane Handlers, Aircraft elevator Operators,Tractor Drivers and Messengers and Phone Talkers ...

but her pose in in relax position which i dont know where to place her...
but for your sake and pleasure, i will do it for u...

watch out for her in the next update.,......

Meanwhile, while the deck is just starting to get busy, another package arrive in the mailbox. It's Flightpath 1/72 USN Carrier Deck Diorama Deck set. This set provides:
2 Tow-Bars,
4 Wheel Chock units,
14 Tie-Down Chain assemblies,
44 Deck Tie-Down Points [each with two styles of grating],
Carrier Deck Edging Panels
a painting template is included for applying the characteristic yellow & red broken lines.

This is in cast metal and photo-etched nickel silver.

I have only 3 comments:

1. Very good initial work on the blast deflector and the Cat is coming along well.
2. The female crew SHOULD be included Siti or not.
3. The female crew MUST be included and who cares about Siti.

Seriously though Boss good work and progress. I'm hoping this project avoids the dreaded Zaidi curse of "Work-in-Perpetual Progress" :-)

As for my matey Jimbo, they can never be enough women in the navy though personally I still favor an all-man navy. Women everywhere can' t be good.

thanks for the comments and i would love if you removed the words siti in your reply...hehehe...she's everywhere now and many of us will disgust by the fact that she;s getting first class attention by the people rather than the victims of the recent Indon's Tsunami.... let's form a "I Hate Siti CLub" here.... arhh..see i also talk about siti...

back to the topic...
it's not you alone that wishes this project will not infected or cursed by the term that you have just created...i placed a high priority in this project and set my mind to finish it on time, or at least finish it ...........

but I have to stop a while coz i will be away this afternoon till Friday...
