heres where i am up to on the city of truro kit, more or less 90% finished. that being so i decided to have a tinker with the other loco i bought a 262(no not that kind!) prairie tank, which is a dapol issueand seems to have really soft plastic compared to the airfix kit, also on the underside there is still the remains of the airfix logo, not quite ground off the mould

That looks pretty good Phil. All you need is some cotton wool steam now :-) . Are you still planning on doing the English station dio for this.
You could always build a German railway gun to go with this, someone does one in 1/72, now that would be cool.
Trumpeter do a nice train in 1/35, a German BR52, any plans on building that monster.

andy- the english station dio is still on, i more or less have all the stuff i need its just a case of getting it built!
mal- i don't plan on weathering it because i think of it as similar to a race car, and all the pics i found of the real loco show it always being clean and well looked after. its nice to do something with smart glossy paintwork too, after a bunch of camo'ed aircraft

Thats looking really nice Phil.
Your turning that old kit into something quite special.
Is railway modelling becoming a bit of a thing for you now?
