well, i could'nt resist! yesterday i got stuck in to the eduard fokker triplane that came with the albatros-es? albatri? that merlin sent me. after sorting out what the interior colours should be (thanks jackflash!) i made a start by sanding and filling two ejector pin marks in the front of the nose, then gave it a coat of humbrol 71, followed by hand painting the wooden "cheek" triangles with humbrol 94. i intend to use some leftover ronseal paint and grain to get the wooden finish on it.

but theres only four separate wires on these! two from the fusalage to the top wing (in an "X") and two bracing the wheels. i would recomend a triplane as an easy intro to rigging
but then again i am a bit bonkers! #:-)

heres an update on the triplane, its had a coat of lovely pink primer then another rub down with fine wet+dry, a little more filling, then another coat of primer. i mixed the primer myself using thinned down household undercoat mixed with a few drops of red gloss
so here is a triplane of jasta "barbie" 1917

Im sure theres a perfectly good reason for priming it in pink, but you'll have to enlighten us cause I cant think of one,, :-)
