May I take this opportunity to wish all our American family a happy 4th July celebration.

Thanks Vinnie! I sure appreciate and respect that coming form someone across the pond. I hope and pray that our countries continue the friendship and goodwill for many years to come.
As for my Fourth plans I have decided to do very "American" things. Here is my list!
1. Shoot firecrackers (some legal, some not-so-legal)
2. Shoot a few of my guns
3. Watch "The Patriot" and "Sands of Iwo Jima"
4. Bar-be-que!
5. My lovely wife is baking an APPLE PIE! ( her pies are really good!)
Any other suggestions to complete my "American Fourth" are welcomed!

Thank you Vinnie, from your friends over here in the "colonies"
And to Hellbent11: Say fellow "Kansan" why not drop by my house in
Kansas City and share some of your wife's homemade apple pie?
That would be a great way to celebrate our Independence and freedom,
eh?

Thanks Vinnie! We are having thunderstorms and it is about 90 outside. Pretty much ruined all the plans. So, I am hopping back and forth between the Twilight Zone and Star Trek marathons, waiting on soccer...

Yeah Shaun this kinda sucks. But maybe it'll lighten up. If not, I have my own personal fireworks show that I'll run tomorrow.
To the rest a little quote that fits the pyro mood of those lighting fireworks tonight:
"A person does not grow old and wise but for surviving the dumb "stuff" when they were young."
Stay safe, and keep the pressure dressings in your pocket!

Alex, I'm very lucky, 90% of the state is closed down due to the budget crises, so only people working and sure to get paid are those designated essential employees, I'm an essential employee. (besides, I normally work 99% of the Holidays due to my work week being Friday to Tuesday.)

Yes indeed,
God Save the Queen
and especially God Save George Washington!
We as Americans owe so much to a small handfull of men who had a dream and the courage to endure for it. For all those who have given their all for the ideal of Freedom.....Happy 4th of July and God Save all of you.
Best regards,
Gary
