So I see "Going to be a Daddy" in the latest post page, and then the second thing my eye gravitates to is "Grumpyoldman" in the recently replied line, and I go . Anyway congrats. Let us know in soon whether its a boy or a girl.

Right on Redleg!

My son was born on Feb 12th and he is a complete joy. Its alot harder then I thought and so much better then I could have ever imagined too.

I was telling my wife the other day that having a kid feels like we have hit the fast forward button on the rest of our lives. Its amazing how fast they change!

Enjoy the whole experience!

Jeff

Congratulations to you and your lady, Redleg:

Now your education about life will really begin. I divorced but have a
grown daughter who is now 34 and lives half way across the country.
I haven't gotten to see her in over a year. But we talk on the phone
each week and as I think back, I am always proud to say truthfully,
My daughter is the biggest thrill I've ever had.

Bringing up children should change all your priorities. And will emphasize
to you what is of true value in this life and what is just glitz, sound and
fury with no real meaning or substance.

And finally, you will live in your child. When you pass on, what you were
all about, your talents and personality, character, etc. will still be alive
in your child. Many parents never think of this.

Thanks for taking time to share your joy with us.

Congrats and welcome to fatherhood. The hardest and most rewarding thing in the world. There is nothing better than watching them grow.

Congrats Redleg!!! Thats one thing you don't make with plastic and glue :-) :-) :-) Get ready friend, your entire world is about to change. I have two daughters. Fatherhood is by far the hardest but most rewarding job ever invented. If its a girl, trust me on this you will never look at women the same way again.

Heres to wishing you and the Mama to be all the best. Good luck, Harry
