Anyone here else not care a damn about the annoying world cup? Im getting rather sick to death of hearing about that little thug Wanyne Rooney and his foot, I hate those stupid flags that everyone flies on their cars here in the UK, cant stand every single pub across the length of the uk playing the games-id rather watch paint dry and really couldnt give a damn who wins.

Rob, most (modern) TV sets have a useful fixture on them. It's called an O-F-F switch... Alternatively, you could perhaps try changing the channel (consult the instruction manual if you're unsure as to how to do this). A third alternative is to do something else like read a good book or paint the kitchen....
I do however agree with you on the subject of Rooney's foot - easily the most tiresome story in the history of modern sport....Jim :-)

On the other hand, England looks like they could use a foot or two after that performance against Paraguay. Thank goodness the opposing captain was there to lend a head.

Rob, I agree with 100%. I had a similar thread to this one last week.
It aint just the TV, it's everywhere you look. Newspapers, shops, advertising boards, cars with flags, houses with flags an on and on and on.
For gods sake get me off this planet for about 5 weeks.
As for Rooneys foot, he won't be playing for long before someone so say accidentally jumps on it again.
Right, lets put some more paint on and watch it dry.

it means that soime of the guys i work with will ring in sick on match days when im off control will ring me and i earn an extra shift!!!!!!!! and yes ive picked up a couple already .the last bit is what im told when people know what i do for a hobby
sorry english is not my best lanugage im fom yorkshire!!!!!!!!!
