Anyone going to MAFVA next weekend? Any ideas I wonder on what traders will be there, or will it just be the same bunch?

I'll be up on Sunday. Don't know about traders, but I would imagine so.. I intent to spend more time looking at planes and tanks this time though, seems a waste not to explore the museum whilst there.

Will we all be wearing Carnations in our buttonholes?

Cheers
Henk

Joe I remember my PJNCO course in 1988. Utter nightmare! At least you bust your foot on the last day so hopefully it was a pass.Hope the foot mends well mate. Rest is the key. Bust my elbow last year and had to have 2 screws in it. Couldn't pick up a paintbrush for 3 weeks! Horrible!

I classic fashion I didn't make it there untill after 11 o'clock, but still managed to get acosted by Teacher later on.. :-) . Also met Derek and Brian, which was a pleasure, as always.
Managed to lose everyone again, but a good time was had none the less.
Spend little money this time, but managed to pick up a few gems..
Also met a few of my MAFVA pals, and convinced Gwynn to enter his BR52 Dio in the competition...which promptley walked of with a second place.. well done and well deserved.

Definitely one to plan for next year.

Cheers

I have to admit that I kept just missing Vinnie by a matter of minutes and did not see Henk, but I did get to spend time with Sandy and Alasdair from the Small Shop EU so all was not lost. I spent money on a few things, with my biggest gaff being to forget to pick up my Mr Softer and Mr Setter from Lou Stener, luckily he is going to sort this error out later.
The standards were high and I enjoyed looking around the many tables as well as taking over 400 meg of pictures during the day. I will try and get some uploaded so that others can see them once I have done some sorting out.

I arrived at about 12.45 and had to run to get to the entries desk. Unfortunatly I didnt see anyone I recognised, although I did have a nice chat with 'Spud' Murphey ffrom MMI about getting some modelas in the mag and saw Ian from friendship models-discussing IDF stuff.

Did anyone see me go collect my award for the Humvee? anyone got some pics??

This is going to sound like a lame excuse, but late Saturday night, my cat decided to spook himself and ran headlong into a closed glass door. One emergency visit by the vet, later, and i was £300 the worse off, so no spending money, or petrol money for that matter*sighs* Even if i had had the money i would not have been happy to leave him on his own, as he was still staggering around today. Sorry guys
