The wife managed to pick up a browser highjacker, AboutBlank. Anyone know of a good, preferably free way to get rid of this insidious piece of @&^$%?
So far we have tried:
Spybot Search and Destroy
AdAware
McAffe Antivirus
CWShredder
Cant clean it.
Make me look like a hero guys.
Thanx,
Shaun

Thanks guys. I emailed most of those URLs to her. I think she found software for $30.00 that is supposed to nuke it. These people really irk the hell out me. It is not like we are newbies or anything. Hell, we have been on line for 13 years.
Thanks again guys.
I will let let you know how it works out.

/BTW, I downloaded Firefox onto my work laptop and it rocks.

Hi Shaun,
Firefow rocks!.I ditched my IE a while ago as it was starting to get on my nerves.Browsing between pages is very fast, however it has crashed a few times while visiting various webpages.CPU screen just goes blank and i haven't figured out how to solve it,always manually turning the cpu off..On the good side though,i have a Skype side bar,so now i can surf and at the same time i can see who is online and call them.Google search,Wikipedia,Websters dictionary, ebay all at a click of a button. Also weather report for now, tonight and tom.
Other extensions i have for firefow are 'down them all',gives you the ability to download music files from almost any webpage, and 'video downloader',it works just the same as 'down them all' but downloads videos.
About the only thing this baby doesn't do is walk on water!!
