This is the Macralon armoured Land Rover I've spent so much time on. It's still a bit rough and ready. It is based on the Tamiya Land Rover Ambulance which looks like this (And no, I didn't build this one, I don't know who did) :

I'm trying to build this:

And this is how it looks so far:

I still have a long way to go and I'm the worlds slowest modeller but, I think I'll probably get there eventually.

Looks like Barv has turned you over to the deepest part of the dark side... :-)
Looking forward to see some more pics of it.

Looks pretty good Murdo, 2 questions:

¿ which figures are those?
¿how did you bent the doors? ¿Are they scratchbuilt, right?

Cheers

Thanks Klaus,

1) Figures are Airfix 1/32 Modern British Infantry. Very soft plastic. I hope to cut out the Rifles and replace them with Italeri ones. The heads and helmets will have to be replaced too.

2) Doors are scratchbuilt from Plastistrut.

Coming on a treat -----had one the same style :-) :-) :-) :-)

*Klaus..... Murdo may not be able to answer for a bit so----- warm the plastic either in hot water or under a hair drier (over a candle is my favourite--gives 2 hands free)---bend over a rod with diameter of ..!! inside !! (allow for thickness)of curve required--cool and repeat as needs be.
