Ive been trying to submit my entry as per the "instructions" and when I submit my zip file it tells me the site does not support zip files.
I was already confused about how the MoM contest rules and submissions work, now this. so , any help? Thanks , Tim

You have to submit zip files through the support centre. Where were you trying to submit it?

Without seeing what you're seeing it's difficult to tell what exactly you're doing wrong Tim. I have received other material from other people today, so it wouldn't appear to a fault our side. You are aware you have to create a separate account for the Support Centre?

It maybe the size of the submitted zip file also.
Being old senile and 3/4 brain dead, especially today after a double shift, I forget the max size allowed. :-)

This is the messaeg Im getting
"Sorry, that file extension (ZIP) is not accepted at present"
My file sizes are only 2.8MB and 3.4MB, it says the max is 5MB.
I received this reply from the support, but no help.
"There seems to be a bug in the file detection script. If you use a
simple text phrase "file.zip" it will work. It appears to not like either
numbers or dashes" But my files dont have numbers or spaces...

I said "dashes" not spaces. Why don't you put the name of the file you are trying to send.

The system worked when I tested it earlier today and we get zip submissions daily. As I said when I tried to upload a file like 543.0-5.zip I got an error message like the one you describe. I changed the file name to "file.zip" and it uploaded fine.

Thanks,
Jim

Odd. I just tested it again and was able to get the same message but only on complex named files with lots of dots or dashes. Everything else uploads without a problem. Are you sure you are filling out all the required fields on the form? I think that gives a different error message though.

In the meantime you can email your submission to Vinnie using the email in his profile area. Sorry I don't put emails in the forum as they can get picked up by spam-bots.

Thanks,
Jim
