What's the best way to enlarge the turret race on a Sherman upper hull? I need to do so on a DML hull I am adding the Tamiya Pershing turret to it I have a Dremel tool I just want to get the opening even so the turret doesn't sit too far forward or backward

If you only need to remove a little material,I'd use either a rat tail or half-round file.If major chewing is required, I would scribe the line and then use the round drum sanding sleeves in the Dremel kit to get close to the line. Then finish it off by hand file.
cheers!

Chad,
Do you know anyone that has a set of hole saw blades? There may be one that is close enough in size to cut the hole. Just back the race with a piece of wood and spin the drill real slow.

My $0.02

Dave

Offhand I don't The turret race on the Pershing is just under 2 inches That is a good thought though When I get home later this month I will check around
