Can anyone point me in the right direction of a website, preferably a UK one, where I can buy some Graphite powder from? Thanks!

Sold in a decent hardware store..... it's sold to lubricate locks. The cheapest and easiest is to simple use a pencil.

I agree with the pencils .. just use mortar and pestle.

And yes, a decent DIY shop or a locksmith definately would have graphite powder.

Paul
Pencils work best,I find the relex HB is ideal.
I have some Faber-Castel Graphite crayons I use when doing a lot of track work,I just rub the crayon on a file or some mid to fine wet and dry paper over a small jam jar lid, stick you finger in the dust and have a rub!!!!

Ok thanks for your help, guys! Appreciate it! An art shop must have Graphite pencils, then! It's jus' that the guys in the magazines always mention the use of 'Graphite', and it looks much better than pencil lead!

Also any of your local hobby shops that sell train sets and supplies will stock graphite powder. It comes in small spouted tubes that sell sell for as little as $2 - $3.
