I think that with the more formal and public DSB is getting, the newsletter should be streamlined to fit in a little, no?

I joined this club because there are too many modellers who don't take our hobby seriously enough. We are a troop of committed professionals and need to make sure that we are taken seriously! Too many times have I gone into other sites, clubs, and chatrooms to experience willy-nilly banter about things not even remotely related to modelling! What has happened to asking about a subject and getting a well informed answer? Well, as an answer to that very question, the DSB has stepped up and cut all the silliness that others perpetrate. The level of stallwart professionalism in the DSB should be an example to all those goof-offs elsewhere! I am proud to be able to say........I AM JOKING!!!!!!!!!! I for one would be carted off in a straight jacket if I acted like this in public so.......a harty Oink-ity, oink, freak'n,oink as I run my hand through a bowl of cherrios and say...."AHHHHHH............. FAMO!"

Well, tone it down a bit for the sake of the youth in the group. How about if I write a little something that can be called Piglet's page? Kind of along the lines of.... hmmm.... Well, a female modeler's view of this male dominated hobby or something like that. If you have any suggestions on what you would like to see ( model related) I could give it a shot. How does that sound David?

sounds good Penny, talk to Dave and Steve about that page. about building planes, can't fight a war without ground support.

I totally agree with both Pak and Penny's idea, let's drop the girlie page, and create a piglet page. Good thinking!

As a pretty new "piglet", I have to ask what kind of topics are fair game for the newsletter?
Are there some established categories that are included in every newsletter, or is each new newsletter unique unto itself?
Also, what can we do to help make this a great newsletter?, (I'd hate to see this responsibility fall on only one or two "porkers".
Thanks.
