Until recently every time I came to Armorama only new posts since the last time I was on would be marked "current".

Since about 1-2 May (when we had the Armorama-computergeek flip-flop) I have noticed that posts from previous day(s)[1-2 May on] are still shown current ...

Has something changed with cookie & message handling ?

I noticed that the "number of posts" are gone.

My settings haven't changed.
This is the only forum/site where the problem manifiests itself.

John,
It sounds like a bad cookie. I have seen this happen quite a few times in the past. Just clear your cookies or Armorama cookie(s) and all should work again.

Jim:
Sorry, it isn't working.
Last night I went into my cookies & deleted all with armorama or computergeek.
Came back in tonight -- no change.
Went back out & found that I now had a kitmaker cookie, so I deleted it, waited a while, came back in, screwed around, got back out, went elsewhere, came back in & still no change.

Would it help to send you the cookie - it does not look like what you posted in the other thread -- but I'm not having cookie problem anywhere else - just here since the 1-2 May flip-flop with computergeek ...

PS: I have been in/out twice & still no change.
I have NIS 2006 & checked it -- it allows cookies & I have had none blocked ...

Back again, gave it 24 hours, still no change.
I see in the "Is it me" thread you think there might in fact be an issue ...

I think I fixed this. Let me know if you still see the problem. Btw...the reason that more people weren't reporting this issue is that the function that sets the cookie was *working* on the Latest Posts page, but not the rest of the forum. So people who use the LP page were seeing the folder colors and checkmarks update.

Jim,
Seems to be working now -- when I came in today, everything was "read", but newer posts are showing unread ....

And, as noted before, I am one of those heathens who doesn't use Latest Posts ...

BREAK:
It would be nice to have a road map of what sections are going where/when -- it's getting a bit confusing trying to follow/find them without some notice ....

Jim:

This is the real me -- the above post was me ...

Sometime between when I replied to posts in the Armor section & got down here to this section, something got flipped to modelgeek & I got lost/logged out ...

All this is getting a bit annoying ... How about a plan that we can see so we know what is going on ????
