Sorry to bother you folks but I have a sad story to tell.
First off this is NOT a joke or sarcastic rant. I couldn't be more serious about this if I tried.
Tonight when pulling into my driveway our little miniature schnauzer ran out from the house and under my truck and I accidently ran over him. This happened right in front of my two sons and my wife which was bad enough but it gets worse. We took "Max" to the vet emergency clinic and it turns out he has a broken shoulder, several broken ribs, severly bruised lungs and a small fracture in his skull. We've already vowed to spend whatever we have to in order to give him a chance to survive but I'm not sure if he's going to pull through. Max is not just a dog, he's a beloved member of our family and we are heart broken. It's taken me half an hour already to type this and I'm not to proud to say that I'm crying like a big fat baby right now. If it's not asking too much I'd like you all to say a little prayer for Max tonight that he may pull through and come back home to his family. It would really mean a lot to us.

Thanks
mother

It will be 4 months tomorrow that we had to let our beloved Crystal go. I cried for days. I still do at times. I am still deviatated. I hope and pray that you can have Max with you for a long time to come.

I really want to thank all you folks for the kind words and prayers. As it stands tonight, Max is still in the animal emergency clinic but is slowly recovering. The vet said today that if Max can make it through the next 48 hours that his chances are good. His little lungs are severly bruised and without oxygen it is difficult for him to breath but everything else is looking better than 24 hours ago.
Again, I sincerly want to thank all of you. Your kind words really mean a lot to our family.

It is definately not asking too much and I have cried like baby every time I lost one of my "beloved members of the family" as well. My heart goes out to you and your family and all of you and Max will be in my prayers. Glad to hear that he is doing better.

Hoping that Max pulls through.
Having spend huge amounts of money on emergencies at the vets in the past I know that every penny is worth it once your little 'family member' comes home.
My familie's thoughts are with your family and Max. Charles

Great news folks!
Max gets to come home to us tomorrow (Monday).
The vet said today that after his shoulder is mended he will be back to 100% with no brain or lung damage. This way better than we had hoped. Thank you all for your kind words and especially the prayers. The big man upstairs has really pulled through for Max and I can't help but think you all had a big part in the outcome. Again, thanks a million everybody.

Hugs from both of us to all of you, and special hugs for Max from Benny the Bichon and DIxie the Arkansas Traveller terrier. Gus and Abbie the cats send hugs of relief, too.
