I've poked around lots of different sites on the 'Net and finally decided to register as a member here. I'm "barely" in Texas out at the far western edge and returned to the hobby a couple of years back after a long absence. Main interests are WW2 armor and I look forward to being a part of the forums here.
Thanks for having me.

Welcome to Armorama. You're just in time for Scale-Fest, which includes a Squadron Open House in Carrolton. A must go to event as far as I'm concerned.

Welcome to Armorama. I'ld invite you to join the Dallas platoon as there are close to a dozen of us in the DFW area. We sometimes get together in a club. Just for your info. There is a large model show on Saturday 20 May called the Squadronfest. Don't have to compete unless you want to. Lots of dealers how up and there are some great bargains. The Squadron Mail-order also opens it's doors that weekend and lets you buy as much as you want

Appreciate the welcomes! I'm in far West Texas...in fact as far West as you can get and still be in Texas...the beautiful border desert town of El Paso in fact. It's easier for me to go to events in Albuquerque or Phoenix than it is in DFW or San Antonio.
BM2,
Why yes it does but not for the obvious reasons...there's a long story behind it that I won't bore you with here though.
