The only thing i know about May Day is that a May Pole is involved. i'm guessing that since there isn't one in my perimeter is why i'm at work today!

Tell me about May Day!

I hereby proclaim myself May Queen and shall put my feet up on my desk for the remainder of the day... or until my boss comes down the hall.

Until the Commie revolution took it over, May Day was one of only a few public holidays. Many people worked 6 days a week with no paid holiday, so it was a time for festivals & merry-making.
I can remember (showing my age) MayPoles in villages with all the kids dancing.
And for those that reckon that 'International freedom from capitalist chains' is a good reason for a day off - the pagan festival of Beltane (the original celebration at this time of year) was three days of drinking & general debauchery leading to early records showing a marked boom in the birth rates in January!!! I know which options sounds best to me :-) :-)

May Day - the International Communist Day - now being used by illegals and their supporters to break the immigration laws of America - sad

Same here, plus you can't switch off the cows.. We collect the milk 7 days (or in my case nights) a week, 52 weeks a year.
