Hello Guys,
I found your site after visiting Rhodes famous (or infamous) Torrent Journal and I'm impressed to say the least. I need to get the hang of posting here...it's a little different than posting on ML, which I visit quite often. Anyway I'm an avid WWII modeler, 90% German European and Eastern Front. However, I am looking into the Russian armor of this conflict. I'm looking forward to picking up some tricks and tips from you fine folks that frequent this site.
Also, I'm curious about joining the T-factory organization. I live in Southwest Iowa and belong to the Omaha Ne AMPS and the local IPMS chapter there (Fort Crook IPMS) What are some of the advantages for me to join while living here in the Great Midwest?? Thanks in advance for any info anyone can give.
Brian N. Stanley

Welcome to Armorama. I find the navigation here easier than at ML, especially in following a thread. If you hang out here for a while, you'll get the feel of a real community which shares more than just modeling among ourselves.

Welcome Brian. Wish I could help you on your T-factory organization but this is the first I've heard of it.

At this point Brian is really scratching his head in confusion... Armorama-whatzit? What a majority of members and users don't yet understand is that this forum and several others are appearing on multiple sites in the KitMaker Network. T-Factory is part of that network, as is Model Shipwrights, the Squadron Reviewbase, and the soon to be launched historical miniatures site, Historicus Forma.
Eventually there will even be a parent for all these sites. But that is still under development.
Brian - Glad you like T-Factory. I am sure you would have discovered Armorama eventually though.

Cheers,
Jim

Thanks for the info Jim.
Actually I've been coming to Armorama for quite a few years as my daily "checklist of armor models". The other day was the first time I'd seen the T-factory site and the first time I'd tried to post on this site. Your explanation was very clear about how the forums page works and I'll keep checking it out on a regular basis from now on. Also thanks to all for the kind replies to my intro.

Brian -
Welcome to Armorama and I'm sure you'll enjoy your experiences here. There isn't a better place to come to share and gain insight into a great hobby. Whether it's help, support, information, references, ideas, or just making great modeling friends, you've picked the right place.
