Thanks for the kind words.. I am using Acrylics for figure painting. If I have a bit more time this 2 days, I may complete it and bring over to MH on Saturday during the armor competition.

one thing that i envy with your work (and others good painter as well) is how you really made the resin/plastic look like fabric!!

Can you share with us the photography part ? What kind of lighting was used ? Outdoors or indoors ? Ordinary flourescent lighting or special bulbs used ? Any filters to tone down the glare and reflectors to redirect light ? Can you also tell us the type of camera used ? Digital or film ? Any required camera settings for certain conditions ? Thanks.

Hi Patrick,

I am really amateur and also lazy fellow in photo shooting....

I used in old Canon "SLR" G3 digital camera. Set it to manual. Use Macro and white balance (flash off) need to select to the source of light you use. In my case, I used warm day flourecent light (the one surgent used). use auto focus and set the light exposure to about -1.2/3 or -1 should get you there. Use timer and tripod to stablise the shooting.

To get better effect you should have 3 lights (one top 2 each side from bottom) but I am too lazy so I only used the white A4 paper to bounce the light from side using the light from the top as source.
