Just woundering if any of you guys regularly order from Testors online shop?

I’ve used them a few times before and the order was shipped out about days later but I’ve just noticed that the order I placed with them on Monday has yet to be shipped.
I was wondering if this is common or if I should contact them?

I’m thinking I’m just worrying too much but I’m hoping to get the order by Friday so I could work over the Easter holiday.

I've ordered from them a couple of times and on both occasions they took forever to ship. On the second order it took a couple of unanswered emails and finally a telephone call to find out the status of the order. After that it was shipped but it was about three weeks after the order was initially placed.

Dang looks like I probably won’t be getting it by the weekend then.
Guess I should give them some more time and then call.

I ordered from them several times.....
Once one item was back ordered....
They shipped my order out the next day, it arrived in two days, I then received the backordered item the next week.

Do you get a discount ordering direct or do you pay full price? I think in your case if you are wanting your stuff quickly and get a small cut at retail price go with Squadron. They will tell you when you call if the item is in stock and have your order out the door by No later than close of business the next day. Heck if you call them first thing in the morning and the order isn't humongous theyll get it out same day. I live south of them about 20 miles and I have placed an order and had it on my doorstep the next day. Never longer than 3 days after placing order.

Its full price buying from them. In fact I think most shops carry there stuff a little cheaper.
I just couldn’t find anyone that carried all the colors I needed.

if you were going for color ask the guy at the counter to order it for you. That is what i usualy do.
EX: my lhs now carries tamiya paint ( a year after he told me acrylics arn't any good... ) but does not carry any in stock but sells both the mini and ( hard to find) regular 21ml's for fairfly less expensife than any other place. so i order and a week later have my stuff.

Same goes to evershop to my knowledge. It's worth asking.

Should of pointed out. I have no locale hobby shop. The closest is about a an hour drive there and back. So ordering off line myself is much cheaper then the gas to drive back and forth plus its hard to find the time to go.

One of the down sides of living in the middle of nowhere.

lol, then it does make sense to order :-)

How about switching to a more available brand?

I was able to get a bottle of the stuff real easily before. Its just that after it went empty in the middle of the project that I had trouble finding it.

Of course I have found a few places where I can pay about $20 and get a life time supply of the color. I didn’t think it would be worth it but I may have been wrong.

But then again as sone as I would by all that paint I would probably never need that shade again. :-)

Looking at my previous orders with them I’m starting to see a pattern.
First order was sent on the 24th. 2nd was on the 14th with a back order shipped on the 14th 2 months later.
Perhaps the only ship on days ending with a 4? That would mean it will get shipped Friday.

Ok I’m not holding my breath but it would be pretty funny if it would happen.

I find it interesting that many times I'm told by the LHS that something is not available any longer, yet can easily order it from Testors. The latest example being their Jerry/Jeeps cans. I wonder if it is laziness on the shop owners part, or poor information from his distributor/supplier.

Its now in the hands of UPS and should be arriving some time around Monday.

Right after the holiday weekend.
