I just saw Godfather Pt2 for the first time.

If I understand correctly, the little deaf mute boy was the one who grew up to be Don Vito Corleone?

When Vito was a younger man who takes over Don Fanucci's street, are either one of his buddies anyone significant in the later scenes? I didn't catch their names so I don't know who they are

Yes, the little boy becomes Don Corleone. His friends who help him bump off Don Fanucci are Tessio and Clamenza. They are his partners all though out his life and are in part 1 as well.

I love the Godfather movies. Fagedaboutit.

With a name like Gino Pompeo Quintiliani, I have to like them.

I think there needs to be part 4 with Anthony Garcia as Don Corleone and show how he does business.

Tessio was played by Abe Vigoda in the original and get's caught at the end.

Clemenza does not reappear in Godfather Pt2 but it is mentioned he got whacked

Still haven't seen Godfather Pt3. However I loved the original. I think the theme song is one of the greatest movie songs ever. I don't think anyone doesn't think Italian when they hear that song!!

The original is the best, the second ("Keep your friends close; keep your enemies closer.") almost as good (and until [i]The Return of the King{/i] the only sequel to have gotten best picture oscar. I've never seen the third all the way through, but what I have seen feels like once too often at the well.

The ending of part 3 is very emotional as is the line "Every time I get out they drag me back in"

It is possible to become a made man with being pure Italian, but Scicilean is far preferred. I live by La Vendette
