I wanted to post this in as many DG as possible. Usually I peruse mostly figure forums or discussion groups. On May 5th and 6th 2006 The Miniature Figure Collectors of America (MFCA) is holding its 65th show and mart at The Valley Forge Convention center. This is at 1200 First Avenue, King of Prussia PA.
If you build Armor vehicles, Cannons, Airplanes, Automobiles,Ships,Sci-Fi&Fantasy
Then this show displays this and much more. We like garage kits to painted war game armies, dioramas and vignettes, painted 1/6th figures.
"We also encourage toy soldier collectors to bring items that they have painted, converted or otherwise made, whether from old or new toy soldiers, for the the exhibition. For more information, contact Brad James at [email protected] "
We also have a hospitality room at the hotel to meet old friends or make new ones to discuss the hobby or have a drink and relax.
More information about the convention center and hotel is on our website http://mysite.verizon.net/vzerm67t/
Thanks and hope to see you there

There are a number of us from here planning to attend. Looking forward to my first visit to your event (though several membrs of my club have made the pilgrimage to Vaklley Forge an annual event.)IIRC, they tell the tale of a topless bride in the parking lot a couple years ago.

According to those who were there, she was, as the add used to say, the real thing.

hey brian,
are you sure it is the 5th and 6th. i have been seeing on some websites that it is on the 6th and 7th. Which is right? Saturday is not an option for me. Thank you and take care!
p.s.
I thought that by having the show on Friday is a bit odd. thats why i thought it was a mistake.

Thanks Craig for posting about the MFCA show. It is on Friday and Saturday. We will have a hospitality room both nights. So you can meet fellow modellers in a relaxed environment. The website is http://mysite.verizon.net/vzerm67t/

P.S. To dispel the rumors (which I have been spreading{LOL}) we were discissing moving to Deleware. But we have signed a 2 year contract with the Valley Forge Convention Center. So we will be there the next year as well. We will be handing out the same type of cards that we sent out this year for next year show at the front table. We are signing people up for free for the MFCA membership and are trying to go to a virtual membership. Also we are trying to help out the club with membership in the Philadelphia area which we co-locate with for our meeting, the DVSM [url]http://www.dvsm.org/[url]

Could someone point me to the proper directions getting there from north central NJ, (I live about 1500 feet from the I 287 ramp, so will start heading south on I-287) it's been years since I drove down that way, and can't pull up directions to the convention center.

All I get with Yahoo and Mapquest is downtown Valley Forge. And when I put the Radisson address in I get can't find address. I'm sure I'll get there..... :-)
Just been so many years since I went, don't feel like getting lost on the way......
