i was searching for photo's of omaha beach when i found this great looking dio.
link I love the positions of the soldiers. it really looks if the dio is alive.

That's the way to do Omaha...you get all teh emotion without having a room filling dio and tons of unmodified figures. My only quibble is the guyt bieing aided by the medic, his blood doesn't look right. TYoo red for the green background. But other htan that, it's great.. Thanks for linking this.

very nice and impressive...thanks for sharing. i think grandier scale would be better..now that the LCM and LCVP is on the market. hope to see more dios of the landing.

I think the dio is fantastic. The one thing that struck me though is that at least three of the figures look like they are smiling, somehow I doubt there was anything to smile about on Omaha beach on D-Day.

the 25 minutes landing scene on "saving private ryan" was the closest thing.

Thanks for the link. There are some quite good dios there.
I like the D-day dio as well; nice selection of figures, well painted and catches the chaos there (must) have been on the beaches.
