So say your fliping through a magazine and there's an article that you like with lots of pics or you can divide the mag into sections so you like the pics but you don't wan the bulk of the mag so you create reference cards they work great say your building a M10 Tank Destorer and then it hits you like a baseball bat in the head I saw an actricle about that in
Quoted Text

Militay In Scale

so you take out your reference card about that tank and away you go.

I have been thinking about that before but eventually decided that was too much work. I just put a sticker marking up the page on the magazine these days.

For some other magazines which only carry one article that I am interested, I will take that out and put it into a lever-arched file.

I'm a bit more devious.

I cut magazines up, run the individual pages through the scanner into a pdf file, and then seperate the interesting articles/photo's into subjects.

This may seem like time consuming/boring... which it actually is :-)

But it is a lot better than a heap of useless magazines ion the attic (certainly takes a lot less space) and once familiar with the technology, its pretty fast as well (10 minutes a mag) and reaaly fast to find something back.

i put pages of instructions in clear plastic folders with 3 ring holes in them, then i put em in a 3 ring binder for easy access, and it keeps em clean, and i have em on file to make copies[ swmbo scans em for me ]in case i can email em to anyone.
