Hi,

On Testor's website, it stated that Model Master acrylics are pre thinned and ready to airbrush. Is this true?

Thanks,

Hugh

I pretty much use mine out of the bottle and have no issues, at least not through my Aztek. I think I did thin for the Badger I was using though. That was a pain.

i don't need to thin any of the new testors paints, i use an aztek airbrush and it sprays fine, but i noticed when i do thin out the paint it leans quicker from the brush stug

I use a Passche VL airbrush and have never had a serious problem spraying straight out of the bottle.Tamiya Acrylics require etensive thinning and I use 2 different airbrushes. One for acrylics and one for enamels.

I also use both an old Paasche h series and Aztek brushes. depending what I'm doing will decide if the paint gets thinned. If I'm painting a tank and want multiple thin coats as not to hide the PE I thin. for touch ups or for base coating stowage or figures I spray from the bottle.

The only airbrush I had problems spraying them with was the badger. They work great in my Model Master airbrush

When i first started using them about 4 1/2 years ago,the clerk said to use denatured alcohol to thin them I use 6 or 7 drops for half a bottle and it works great I had one heck of a time finding denatured alcohol at first Finally found it at a drug store near home It's a controlled item,I had to show I was over 18,and then had to sign for it and tell them what I was using it for

I usually don't have any problems blowing MM thru my Model Master AB, but I do find that the consistancy of the MM Acrylics varies from bottle to bottle, no matter how much I stir up the stuff.

I do check to make sure that the caps are on tight before I buy them, they usually are but some bottles are way too thin.

Thanks,
