I Would like to congratulate Rick Brownlee aka MiaimiJayhawk on taking top honors at the Omacon 2006 with his remarkable ba 20 this past saturday. Armorama members did very well at this show. Here are the results for our members that were in attendance.
Rick Brownlee's Alan Hobbies Ba20 Armored Car- 1st place in halftracks and Armored Car category and also Judges Grand Award
Rick's 1/35th Bobbing for apples dio- 3rd place in military dios without vehicles category
Rick's Star Wars AT ST Walker Scout transport-1st place in Sci Fi Ground Vehicles
Rick's 120mm DML German Cavalryman w/ horse- 1st place in Historical Figures
Chris Searing aka Black_water also did well at the show with a pair of second places for his work. his M50 Super Sherman took 2nd in 1/35th post WW2
and his 1/35th Scopedog took 2nd in the Sci Fi ground vehicles category
Mary (tankysgal1) and I took a first place in diorama with out vehicles category with our Time to Heal dio
I also had some luck and took home top honors in the dioramas with vehicles category with my Stealing Time dio, which also took Peoples Choice Best of Show.
